So we built our own. Hyndla is two WooCommerce plugins: one for gift cards and one for accounting numbers. Both are made for Norwegian shops, and both are free to start with.
The free versions need no licence key.
We have tried most of the gift card and accounting plugins for WooCommerce. The free versions stopped right where they started being useful. The paid ones were often built for another country's accounting rules, with reports that didn't fit Norwegian VAT.
And when the accountant asked what actually happened last March, we couldn't give an answer that added up.
We wanted numbers that are easy to get out, gift cards that are easy to handle day to day, and reports that show what really happened – a year later too. That is what Hyndla is.
